Thank you so much, President Clarke, Councilman Johnson, all of the Council.
The promise of the Red Cross is that we will always be there when you need us. That's our promise. That's our equipment. It's unequivocal. It's no more complex than that and it's no more profound than that. We will be there no matter what, fire, building collapse, Super Storm Sandy. Whatever life throws at our community, the Red Cross will be there. And I make that promise without hesitation because of the extraordinary men and women who stand behind me. This is just a sampling of the power of our organization. We're able to do what we do because we have these incredible volunteers and incredible partnerships, like our partnership with City Council. That's what makes us powerful and strong. And so I love working with City Council. They help to get our message out. They help us identify new volunteers. It's amazing the things that we do together.
So I thank you so much for the help that you give us so that we can better serve our community. And I just can't tell you how nice it is to see you all, because I love working with all of you. Thank you on behalf of our thousands of volunteers and our staff for supporting our work, and we look forward to another year of serving.
