You may argue global warming. You may argue the science behind it, but what we cannot argue is that was the largest storm we've seen in quite a while, arguably one of the largest in the history of the world.
One would ask why are we recognizing the Red Cross. Because they stood up, along with other community organizations, to respond to the thousands of lives that are lost in the Philippines.
One thing we cannot argue is, we have one planet and we have nowhere else to go, and either we treat it correctly, either we recognize that the earth is trying to heal itself or it will remind us.
So we want to recognize those who are relieving suffering of the Filipinos that lost their lives and those who survived that tragic storm. And I'd like it to be recognized in a standing vote by members.
