Thank you, Mr. President. Councilwoman Maria Quinones, my Senator, Christine Tartaglione, and a big shout to Curtis Jones. He knows why. Ladies and gentlemen, there's so many dignitaries here, there's so many here that I'm afraid to mention names. I'm going to stop there.
I just want to say thank you on behalf of the Latin American Legion Post 840 of the American Legion. This is something that we've been working on very diligently for a very long time, and it's uphill. Some of you probably never heard of the 65th Infantry Regiment before, but if I were to mention the Tuskegee Airmen, everybody in this room has. Well, that's what we want to accomplish for the 65th Infantry, and the Congressional Gold Medal will do that. However, in the Latin American Region Post, we're very similar to City Council of Philadelphia. We assign committees to do the work and then we all take the credit for it.
I am very blessed. I have two committee members who have done the bulk of the work for me, and I get the credit. I get to speak in front of my favorite people.
I have George Perez from Congressman Brady's office and Juvencio Gonzalez. He's our Chair of the Public Relations Committee for our post. And we know our time is very limited, but I would like them to share with you some of our success so far and how you can best help us.
