Transcripts of full meetings of the council.

Thank you, Mr. President. This Council has been steadfast and consistent in its support of our men and women who have served this country that allow us to have the freedoms that we have today.

A couple of weeks ago in a delegation led by Senator Stack and Senator Tina Tartaglione, who joins us this morning, there was a delegation both at the federal, state, and city level calling on the United States Congress to bestow on the Puerto Rican 65th Infantry the Congressional Gold Medal of Honor, and when we finish the resolution presentation, members will speak to that campaign who join us this morning.

So I want to ask all of you in joining me in recognizing and honoring the tremendous bravery, contributions, and sacrifices of the Puerto Rican 65th Infantry Regiment and calling on the United States Congress to award the Regiment the Congressional Gold Medal.
