Transcripts of full meetings of the council.

Good morning. My name is Annethia Woods and I have been a housekeeper at Hilton Garden Inn for 13 and a half years. I live at 6545 Haverford Avenue. I believe in Philly's future.

We want you to know that we are going to do whatever it takes to make sure that all hotel workers in this city have good jobs and benefits too, even if it means marching, picketing, and fighting for what we deserve.

We'd much rather work in partnership with the hotels. We want to work together so we can focus on our guests. But we will do whatever it takes.

Fifteen years ago, as my hotel was getting the money and approval to be built, my hotel signed a labor peace agreement with my union, Local 274 Unite Here. This agreement covered housekeepers and food beverage workers. Let me say that again. My hotel signed a labor peace agreement covering both housekeepers and food beverage workers. It happened 12 years ago. It can happen again.

Please vote no on the tax break for the hotel. Don't let them get away with this.

Thank you.
